Somalia facing 'foreign invasion'

Africa was colonized in the 1800-1900 because of what was happening in Europe. Several factors which created the impetus for the Scramble for Africa, most of these were to do with events in Europe rather than in Africa.

So why is Somalia facing colonization in this era? According to Al Jazeera, Somalia is facing foreign invasion. My question is where was the so called president of Somalia when the pirates were roaming the seas and taking over ships? Where is AU now? What did they do or doing now to prevent these events?

I am not sure how I feel about the new development in Somalia, I want the country to be normal but is the invasion a better solution?
